Severe gale force winds ripped through Powerco's western lower North Island electricity overnight Sunday 17th September 2023.

Firstlight's newest Base Power system is on an East Coast property beyond the Tarndale slip, one of the largest land movements in the remote Raukūmara Range. The property had been the only connection on a 16-kilometre-long line in an area prone to storms, slips and treefall.
